“To Russell” was dedicated to my first serious boyfriend and written on 08 January 1987.  
The great thing is, we are still friends all these years later.   ;)

TO RUSSELL

Five years have passed – seems like five days
Since the “Romance of my Life”.
‘twas love I thought, not just a craze,
I thought I’d be your wife.

But people change – their friends, their style,
their interests in life too.
And where our paths ran parallel,
their direction now is new.

We had good times until the end –
my memories are sweet.
It’s nice to know that we’re still friends
if and when we meet.

There’ll always be place in my heart
kept specially for you.
And though I know we had to part
I’ll never forget you.
