“Life” was written on 22 December 1986 and is my version of positive thinking.


LIFE

Life does not start tomorrow
For tomorrow is never the time.
Procrastination only brings sorrow
And is bitter, like cheap red wine.

If opportunity raises its head,
Grab quickly with both hands.
For although you could be misled,
It could also be something grand.

You’ll never know until you take it
For what will be will be
And you also just might make it!
You can only work hard and see.

So jump in – see what life’s about.
But take eash step bit by bit.
And then if it all works out,
You can get yourself out of that s#!t

For it is a fact of life
That there’s no pain without gain.
You have to make some sacrifice
Before you can drink French champagne.
