“Card” was my first poem (that I kept) which was written in September 1985 for an exboss after she got a major account.


CARD

You know sometimes, it’s very hard
To find that super-special card.
The picture’s wrong, the words aren’t right.
It really makes you get uptight!

And so today, I thought I’d think
And write a poem in my own ink.
It’s not the best, but there has been worse
So here now is my little verse.

Well done Sandy! You did your best.
You can now let Mr Harrison rest.
His future business is in the bag.
If you were a dog, your tail would wag!

If we at Omega can carry on
And do things the way they should be done,
Then WATCH OUT Kelly, Quest and Drake
‘cause it’s number one that we’re going to make.
